Matah Ati Successfully Amazed Jakarta

Ever get a standing applause when perform at the Esplanade theater in Singapore, latest, showed on 22 to 25 June, a drama ‘Matah Ati‘ re amazed the audience at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta. This event will also be held at Pura Mangkunegaran, Solo at 8 to 10 September 2012.

This reveals a new genre in theater Indonesia, an innovative breakthrough and prove that traditional art can be nicely packaged by utilizing today’s technology.

Matah Ati told about the founding of the Mangkunegaran kingdom and how the prince fell in love with a beautiful girl from Matah village and his group who fought alongside Prince in the battle against Dutch colonialism in the 18th century.

The drama is created by Atilah Soeryajaya, who is also director, screenwriter and costume designer, the production remains faithful to obey the rules of Java Opera, known as Langedriyan created by Prince Mangkoenagoro IV, The show is presented with great accuracy, including lighting, sound system, and stunning presentation audio visuals, the dancers are also required should animate every movement and expression that the audience is able to articulate any pulled elegance movement brought the audience into the story.
