Ully Sigar Open Kretakencana World Music Festival
Though controversial, but ultimately the event of Kretakencana World Music Festival (KWMF) remain open as scheduled on Wednesday night (4/7), in the former sugar factory Colomadu, Karanganyar Regency or approximately 6.1 Km northwest of Solo city center. It was by appearance from Ully Sigar Rusady with ‘Nyanyian Alam’ song.
The event will take place until Sunday (8/7), and will perform 16 delegates from various local music groups, which 3 of them are from abroad.

As reported earlier, KWMF was previously known as SIEM. The initial plan of SIEM was to use the park of Balekambang park as a venue, but it failed due to the protests coming from Kethoprak artists which usually perform in Balekambang park that can not be performing during the SIEM held, as well as protests coming from environmentalists who worry that the neighborhood parks of Balekambang would be disturbed and broken.
