Helarfest 2012 Raise 4 Public Space in Bandung

Becoming the first city in Indonesia that has Creative forum, Bandung deserves the appreciation, as well as the event which was held by such forum named Helarfest. A festival is organized by the city of Bandung Creative City Forum (BCCF), which one of the festival’s mission is to develop love for the community to the city’s public spaces around them.

We want to leave a trail of continuous inspiration for all the citizens of Bandung that the issue of creativity is not only created by the community, but also all the people.

Helarfest this year will be held at four different points in different time. First will be in Babakan Siliwangi urban forest event titled ‘Lightchestra’ to the location of concert music and laser show in early July; Next culinary festival will be in the Gasibu Field while filling the fasting month; Continued in September will be a creative potential of the village expo; And in October, for Theatre show in Cikapundung River.

“We want to leave a trail of continuous inspiration for all the citizens of Bandung that the issue of creativity is not only created by the community, but also all the people,” said Fiki in press conference. Helarfest activity this time is deliberately made to respond to four existing public spaces in Bandung: urban forests, city parks, Village’s city and river city.
